Two critical issues are at the forefront of a debate about our future path: economic globalization and sustainability. As educators we grapple with effective methods and coherent information necessary for the frank teaching of these two complex issues. Economic globalization and sustainability are contradictory in nature and practice, yet we must discuss both of these issues in our classroom in an informed and balanced way. With this knowledge our students are able to more fully understand both of these vital issues and make more educated decisions about the future path that their generation chooses to follow. Along with an overview of these topics we suggest thought-provoking activities and discussion topics for use in the classroom
